THE COMPANY

In the year 1981, Miguel A. González O. established the first Granotec company in Santiago, Chile, as a result of his innovative and enterprising vision. The young business man was completing his master degree in USA when he realized about the increasing need to add value in the Industry of Wheat, Flour and Bread chain. In this way, he made the decision to provide ingredients and technology allowing for improved quality and production value.

We have already celebrated 25 years since our foundation, a period well filled with undertakings, professionalization and consolidation of a proficient team as a result of working hard and exhaustively. Our integral business model, made up by Ingredients and Nutrients, Technological Transfer, Laboratory Services and Quality Control Equipment, establishes the basis for international projection, where we currently have offices in seven different countries.

The Group started its consolidation with the creation of subsidiaries in Argentina and Brazil in 1991, Peru in 1995, Uruguay in 2000 and Ecuador in 2001, and Mexico founded in 2002. Along with this progress, dealers from other countries in Latin America joined in, such as Paraguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia and others in Central America and the Caribbean.

In 2005, the Granotec Foundation was born, created to foster and manage actions that are a contribution to the research and development of initiatives related to healthy foods, in order to cooperate positively with the improvement of poor nutrition problems in the contemporary society. This foundation is complementary to the Granotec company own domain and constitutes Granotec's contribution for the Corporate Social Responsibility.

Vision:
To become one of the world class Companies, focusing on Nutrition, Biotechnology and New Technologies that may be developed to improve the quality of our food products.

Purpose:
To provide nutrients, ingredients and formulations with high nutritional quality, as well as services and technological transfer allowing our customers to develop new and improved food products, that are beneficial for Health and help to improve people's life quality.
